Custom size, dimensions and audio

Only check this if you want to remove audio. A source without audio is shown after inspection.

Choose a file to see its dimensions and prepare your output.

A target is an estimate, not an exact-size guarantee. It must be at least 5% smaller than the selected file.

Actual compatibility is checked after selection: Mediabunny must read the container and browser support must decode the video and encode AVC/AAC.

Frequently asked questions

Is this video compressor free?

Yes. This page is free to use, does not require an account, and uses zero SugarCube credits.

Do you upload my video?

No. The selected video and result stay in your browser. The page does not submit video to SugarCube or create a server-side history.

Which videos can I compress?

You can choose one MP4, M4V, MOV, WebM, or MKV up to 100 MiB and 10 minutes. The browser must still be able to read its container, decode its video, and encode the MP4 output.

Can I compress a video to 25 MiB?

You can select a 25 MiB target. It is an estimate rather than an exact-size guarantee, and the target must be at least 5% smaller than the selected file.

Will the video keep its quality and audio?

Compression can change quality and dimensions. Audio is preserved by default when present and supported; choose the explicit video-only control only to remove it.

What if my browser cannot process the video?

Keep the selected file and try a compatible browser or another source. The page reports whether reading the container, decoding video, or encoding AVC/AAC is unavailable.

MP4 output, audio, and browser support

This tool writes an MP4 locally. It inspects the selected container and tracks with Mediabunny, then relies on browser decoding and AVC/AAC encoding capabilities. If the source has audio, 96 kbps is selected by default; choose video-only only when you intend to remove it.
